Trident Yacht Club
The Trident Yacht Club is a well run, friendly, family-oriented organization, catering primarily to cruising boaters, both sail and motor. In operation since 1964, the Club is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership with a full-time Manager.
The grounds and facilities are beautifully kept and constantly upgraded.
The location on the Bateau Channel, and our proximity to the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario, Kingston and New York State, offers a great variety of sailing. Without hesitation, this is one of the best sailing areas in Ontario. The Trident Yacht Club gives eloquent testimony to what dedicated boating enthusiasts can accomplish. Active membership consists of a wide variety of boat owners from both sides of the border, east to Montreal, west to Toronto, north to Ottawa and south to Rochester and Syracuse. During the season, members enjoy a comprehensive program that includes flotilla cruises, cruise races, races for young and old alike, and special gala events. The harbour can accommodate up to 100 vessels. Finger docks are 5' wide and 30' long. Electrical outlets, 110-120 volts / 30 amps, and fresh water connections are also provided. They have 30 and 40 foot docks which can accommodate large vessels. Pumpout facilities are available for members. Limited winter storage is available.
The Trident Yacht Club location offers a beautiful view of the Bateau Channel. The grounds and landscaping provide a peaceful environment. Two areas, complete with barbecue and picnic tables, are available for the use of our members. VISITING YACHT POLICY The policy on the accommodation for visiting yachts is reviewed annually by the Board of Directors. The policy endeavors to be consistent with the traditional values and customs associated with yachting. At the same time it reflects the policies adopted by reciprocating clubs and other practical considerations peculiar to TYC. The current season policy is as follows:
