Nestled
in the Toronto Harbour, on the city side, just a breeze East of Ontario Place,
the National Yacht Club offers safe dockage for your vessel, relaxation for
Captain and Crew and a beautiful setting for your social events and leisure. You
are on the lake in minutes, and back in the city at the end of the race or
cruise just as quickly. Free parking on site for members, no waiting for club
tenders. National's striking clubhouse with licensed dining room and terrace
provides superb views of fireworks, air shows, on the water activities, and the
most romantic sunsets over the water and the city skyline. A new elevator makes
the second floor accessible to all.
Racing at The National Yacht Club challenges sailors at all levels of skill and
boat capabilities. Club races occur most Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights,
with starts for specific fleets, one design and PHRF rating. White sail, single
handed and women's fleets have their own starts. Many weekends see regattas and
races, some organized by The NYC, some organized in collaboration with other
clubs and organizations. Two well equipped race committee boats, and an
organized Race Committee go a long way to ensuring that races are professionally
managed and safety maximized The club's racing heritage is proudly symbolized in
trophies that date back to the early 1900's.
Club facilities include full restaurant and bar service seven days a week,
showers, ice, water, and pump out. Fuel and other goods and services are readily
available from local merchants and marine suppliers.
In the true spirit of reciprocity, the National Yacht Club will offer the same
privileges as extended to our members when they are guests at your club. Should
we not have a clear outline of your club's reciprocal policy then there will be
a $15.00 charge for the first night with the next two nights free. Each
additional night thereafter shall carry a charge of $15.00, plus GST per night.
Please note that there will be a 5 day limit per year for each member as a
visitor.
