Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club

ABYC is a private, working sailing club located in Ashbridge's Bay on Lake Ontario, at the foot of Coxwell Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. We welcome sailors from all walks of life, from their pre-teens to their nineties.

ABYC was formed in 1932. We have very active racing and cruising programs as well as an excellent sailing school for children and adults. We have a fixed mark course on Lake Ontario for organized racing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during sailing season for both PHRF fleets (JAM and spinnaker) and one-design fleets. Wednesday evenings are devoted to dinghy racing. ABYC also hosts and supports local, national, and international regettas and sponsor weekend cruises to various other clubs on the Lake with which they enjoy reciprocal privileges.

Weekend cruises provide an opportunity to visit a number of other Clubs and make friends around the lake. This is one area of boating which attracts power as well as sail boats. ABYC has a reputation for looking after its visitors, and as such, ABYC members are always welcome at other Clubs

ABYC firmly believes that racing is the life-blood of a yacht club, and we encourage any member who has not raced before to consider becoming involved in this aspect of sailing.

Reciprocity: Two nights free. $10 for following two nights. $1.00 per foot thereafter.
